From Velma:

Hi there everyone...I have been married to my hubby Ed since 1970 of March 31st. We have lived in Utah ever since we have been married. We had 3 children and now have 3 grandchildren. Two of them live with their mom, and me, Ed, and his brother in West Valley, Utah. My hubby retired from the Unified Fire Dept. a year ago in March, and we mostly help with the grandkids while our daughter was working. She lost her job and is looking for work again.
I have been busy with Church (LDS), and enjoy exercising, reading, chatting on the internet with my LDSwomenonline group, and friends, and family...love 60 min. online game downloads lol!! And do housework. Looking forward to my garden my hubby and grandkids, and I will be taking care of. Plus swimmming in our above ground pool, and our hot tub. We also have a Trampoline for the kids to exercise on, lol.  We also have 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and 4 birds, but we will be keeping the 2 cats and proaby sell the rest...to much work for me!!!
I graduated from High School in Japan because in 1968 my parents had recieved an assignment to work in Japan. So, I had to leave...I was sad to leave my friends, but I knew in my heart that I had friends I would someday like to see again from Skyline!! So, look forward to seeing you all again. Hopefully my best friends will come! Love, Velma

If you are looking at my family photo, I am the good looking guy without the hair. The past 40 years I have spent going to school, working and raising a family. I have been married for 28 years and have a wonderful wife and two grown children. After graduating from the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy, I practiced pharmacy for 11 years before deciding to go into pharmacy administration for FHP/Pacificare. In 1992, I accepted a transfer to New Mexico on what was supposed to be a two year stint. I'm still here, have plans to retire here. I enjoy the weather and the southwestern lifestyle. Albuquerque has a lot to offer in addition to being a very friendly community with a robust growth future. In 1997 Presbyterian Health Systems a non-profit health care system with hospital, medical group and health plan operations acquired the FHP/Pacificare New Mexico Division. I stayed on as the Executive Director of Pharmacy Services. Along the way I completed my Doctorate in Pharmacy and hold a part-time faculty appointment at the University of New Mexico, College of Pharmacy. I missed all the previous reunions which makes me all the more excited to catch up with my friends in the class of 1968.
Things I have learned since 1968 . . .:
In 1968, I thought I had all of the answers. That was the first mistake I made after graduating from high school. Since then I've made a few more.
From Larry:

I will be attending the Skyline class of '68 re-union. I am looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and classmates. After 40 years, I'm sure there is a lot to catch up on. I am married with two grown children living away from home in graduate school.  My wife and I are very active in the community and enjoy living in the southwest. My photo's are  forthecoming, I've managed to lose a little hair through the years.

Hi everyone.  It sure has been a while.  I moved to Southern Utah 14 years ago.  I live in a community South of St. George called Kayenta.  I have learned to love the desert.  I completed a Masters degree from the University of Utah.  I have been working as a Recreational Therapist  on an inpatient psychiatric unit for 20 years with Intermountain Health Care.  I retired recently so that I could spend the summers at our cabin in the Uinta Mountains with my kids and 2 grandkids.  I love to do anything out of doors as long as I can get a nap in during the afternoon.  I'm lucky to be healthy and happy and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone.

Things I have learned since 1968 . . .:
I should have focused on my education more in school. Family, friends and good health are most important! Life really is short! I try to do something "fun" everyday.
From Sharon:
It is so hard to believe 40 years have gone by since graduation.  I will be unable to attend the reunion as my husband and I will be out of town that week.   Those of you responsible for this reunion, web site, etc have done a really great job!

Married Roger Sharp [Highland class of '68]
39 years ago.  After U of U and graduate school in the Northwest we settled in Salt Lake City to raise our three children. Seems like a roller coaster ride of challenges and joys. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of our second grandchild in Dec.  I have always loved 'nesting' and all it entails.  Still enjoy work as a free lance interior design consultant.  Teaching a variety of adult church classes over the years has resulted in a lot of introspection and spiritual growth.  Two years ago Rog took the Arizona State Bar Exam.  We now divide our time working and living  between the two states.  Memories of Skyline are mostly vague, however I do enjoy a secret smile when certain music from the 60's materializes.  Looking forward to the reunion.  September seems like the perfect time  - autumn days , crisp nights, rekindling friendships neglected over the summer.....'til then....Terrie

Unfortunately was not able to spend my senior year at Skyline because my family moved to California after our junior year. Was in high school there only five months when we moved to South Africa because of my father's job. Graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Then went to Columbia Law School and afterward clerked for a federal judge in New Orleans. Since then have worked as a lawyer in Los Angeles. Married to my law school classmate and best friend: Margaret Nagle (a federal Magistrate Judge). Have two kids (boy and girl) both at Claremont McKenna College (junior and freshman) and a great dog.
Things I have learned since 1968 . . .:
Not enough and there has been plenty of time. Very sorry I wouldn't be able to attend the reunion because I just learned about it. Hope you all have a great time. Looked through our junior year yearbook. It brought back many wonderful memories.

Catch us up on your life . . . :
Cambridge, MA, has been my home since 1981. I got here via Cache Valley and Albuquerque. I married Drew ('66 student body pres of Bountiful H.S.,wild man, and Craig Parkin's cousin) in 1974. Drew's the greatest and I'm glad he's still around. He had an aortic aneurysm in 2006 and survived by a hair -- the day it happened I had to get home from West Virgina and if anyone is interested in possibly the all-time worst airport story, let me know. We have two unique kids, Rachel and John. Rachel, 23, started life as a reading prodigy (taught herself to read at 18 mos. and was reading books like the Lord of the Rings trilogy by age 5; we just watched, astounded). She graduated from George Washington Univ. in creative writing (poetry). During her junior year she enlisted in the Army Reserves, making it through boot camp and a year of duty before having a near-fatal car accident. Her boyfriend, a Marine, proposed to her while she was in intensive care, and last spring they were married in my mother's backyard in SLC. They live in NC, where he's stationed at Camp LeJeune and Rachel is a layout/copy editor and the book/movie reviewer for the Jacksonville Daily News. Our son, John, 20, is the best communicator and most poised person I've ever known, despite multiple disabilities; he can't talk or read and has had over 20 operations in order to stay marginally ambulatory. Our plan is to return to Utah after retirement so that John can be near his extended family. Meanwhile, he goes to high school in Cambridge and enjoys adaptive skiing and sailing, and he's traveled the world with us (even camping in the Arctic!). Other current members of our household include a hamster named Twitchy and a disabled cattle dog from Utah; Toby uses a wheelchair and we take a daily walk at a nearby pond. Although we moved to Cambridge for my job rather than school, Drew did his graduate work at MIT and I spent a year studying conservation biology at Harvard. Drew works on river and forest conservation issues, and I work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect all sorts of endangered critters, from isopods to shrews to louseworts to lynxes. I'm currently working on wolf recovery with a nationwide team, advising marine biologists about coral recovery in the Caribbean, and teaching at the National Conservation Training Center. The government has generously allowed me to work out of my home most of the time, so I'm able to balance work and family. I started running marathons at age 50 and have run 11 since. We spend a lot of time on the water, and I get to the mountains and deserts as often as possible. OK. That's more than enough. I've enjoyed the profiles of all those who've contributed to this site, and I look forward to the upcoming alignment of past and present!
Things I have learned since 1968 . . .:
Don't worry, be happy. And never give up.
From Mary:
I'm hoping that someone, anyone, who was in concert choir and still has a recording of our  '68 concerts will clue me in about how to get a copy (my album cracked).
