Looking back I realize what a Class Act Skyline was. It always seems those that had fun in High School come to the Reuions. I transfered in Spring of 67 from Gresham, OR and needless to say it took a little time to adapt. |

Wow, was working on the renunion and had a ball. But, then I was carrying a computer sheet (with the pokie things on it, so I could roll around on my chair). Fell, broke my arm, Send pics. Missed something I had been looking forward to for a long time. Oh, well, hope everyone had a ball. Looking for some male help!!!! Claudia |

Hi Everyone, What a great reunion! A BIG thanks to the committee - you did a wonderful job with all the planning. It was such fun to see everyone. My only regret was that I did not have more time to spend there, and that some meaningful conversations got cut short. We are lucky to have a terrific class. I look forward to the next get-together. Take care, friends, Maurine |

I was one of the ones that didn't want to go to any of it because of self-image problems. I decided to quit worrying about it and just go. What a great time!! I feel this was the first reunion where people were focusing on each other and just making sure we were OK with our lives. It wasn't about how successful you are, or what great things you have accomplished, or what positions you have held. (I hope that's not too mean) I felt everyone was genuinely interested in talking to all that came. We would look at the name tag first. Then we would just hug and chat. Thank you for all your hard work on this. Both venues had lots to offer. Each one different and great! Hope to run into some of you before the next one. Joyce

| Ohmygosh! What a fun time at the Skyline High Reunion. I thought the dinner on Friday was great . . . but little did I know what was ahead on Saturday night at the park! The band was so fun and the peeps were so nice and friendly (much better than in high school!) Sorry for those who could not make it. And a BIG THANKS for those who made it happen. Love to all, Joanne | |||

| Wow, what a fun weekend! It was great to see all of you and to talk to many of you – the time flew by – I would have liked to catch up with many more. At the end of Saturday night’s event, I couldn’t help thinking how blessed I’ve been my whole life to have known so many wonderful people – starting with East Millcreek Elementary and continuing through Skyline High School and the University of Utah. Though high school was only a short three-four years, it formed a solid foundation of friendship for many of us that even the passing of 40 years hasn’t eroded. I hope to see you – and many of those who couldn’t make it this time around – at the next Eagle ’68 reunion. | |||

Hi Everyone, It will be great to see all of you on Friday evening. I haven't seen most of you since the 30th. I have lived in Glenwood Springs, Colorado since 1981 and we have raised our 2 sons there. I am director for dance at the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts and my husband of 32 years, John, is a landscape architect/land planner. Sounds like a fun reunion - thanks for all the planning and work on it. I hope we don't look TOO old - 40 years - that's a long time! See you on Friday! Maurine |

Hi everyone! I have to admit life has treated me well. I got two wonderful kids and business of 23 years, surveying and engineering, has treated me well. You know the day after we graduated I left home, flew to California where I worked and went to school, but soon found myself having to serve our country. After that experience I came back to Salt Lake where I soon found employment in an engineering company and I've been at it for 35 years now. Today my recreation is mostly golf and I play at Alpine Country Club. I've been into thoroughbreds and a little boating over the years, but they require a lot of money and time. lol I've been to several of our reunions but I'm sure this one will be the best. |

I have been reading these entries for weeks now - about time I signed in. Life has been rich. I have a wonderful, talented wife and six amazing kids. We live north of Seattle and I have been very family centered, so much so that I haven't spent time with any of my old Skyline friends although I do see Zina Brown Kinkaid every once in awhile. It will be wonderful to check in with you all at the reunion and to play some golf with whomever makes it to the course. I thought our Skyline years were priceless. We were good friends - good and friends - and it will be good to renew those friendships. |

| It's hard to believe it's been 40 years. I moved to San Francisco in 1970 where I stayed until 2003 when I retired to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. It was just declared a World Heritage site. It's also known as the party capital of Mexico. I married Jon Sievert in 1980 and we have one wonderful daughter who works at the Oakland Zoo. I won't be able to make it to the reunion but I asked Laura Horiuchi who I have kept in touch with over the years, to say Hi for me. | |||

Wow over 700 former classmates throughout the world, making a difference. Each of us are now at a time in life when we can make a difference-where 40 years ago, we just thought we could. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about your unique experiences. Thanks for sharing. Kelly Sheppard |

Hi to all. I was on a mission for the 5th year reunion, on my honeymoon for the 20th, never heard about the 30th, so figured now was as good a time as any to reconnect. I remember when my mom flew to Minnesota for her 40th year reunion and how ancient that seemed back then. Little did I know how fast time could fly! After graduating from BYU in advertising and a mission to Austria, I spent 13 years at the "B" as a publications manager for intercultural publications. I professionally retired in 1988 when I married and relocated to Santa Maria, California. After stops in Watsonville, CA and Mesa, AZ, we returned to Utah and settled in Layton in 2000. We have been blessed with two daughters. One just graduated from high school in June, and the younger one is a senior. Unfortunately, we haven't had grandkids to help buffer the teenage years in our old age! I have kept active with free-lance contract work, part-time jobs at the girls' schools, volunteering in the PTA, etc. etc. I was happy when Layton High beat Skyline in this year's state football tournament, but a part of me was still an Eagle, and I wouldn't have felt badly if Layton had lost. I hope Joe Morley's BBQ is as good as advertised. It will be interesting to see if we remember more than we have forgotten from those days so many years ago. |

| Doug and I are really looking forward to coming to the reunion. Somehow we missed hearing about the 30 year so we're glad to be able to come to this one. We are currently living in Great Falls, Virginia where Doug works as an Engineer for Northrop Grumman. I have the luxury of being a full time Mom, even though the nest is almost empty. We have 4 children, two are currently living at home and attending college. Our son just returned from a mission to Moscow Russia so we are happy to have him home and safe. Our youngest daughter is attending school and hoping to transfer to the U of U to study architecture and interior design. Our other two are married and living nearby. See you all in September. | |||

The reuinion is quickly approaching, so I thought I'd better send a little message. It doesn't seem like another decade has come and gone. I enjoyed the last reunion and look forward to the 40 year to see friends that I've thought of through the years. We're just barely "Empty Nesters" after having children at home for 37 years. There were only 4 of them, but were spread out in age. We're also enjoying and loving our 11 grandchildren. My husband, Larry Fairbanks, and I have wondered though the years if the SKYLINE EAGLE that was in the student body room is still displayed and what kind of shape it's in after so many years. My father in law donated it to Skyline sometime between 1964 and 1966. While all of the planning and work was done on the reunion we were selling our home and leaving the area we lived in for 34 years. We actually left the city and moved to Midway, Utah. So far, we love it here and won't be ready to move again for another 34 years. Age 92? See you soon! Sharon Van Wagenen Fairbanks |

Sharon and I were so looking forward to coming to the reunion this time, but recent unexpected changes in family plans makes it impossible to attend after all. Thanks to you who have contacted us and reconnected even though we will be absent. Have a great time. |

| Hello to all of you! It's been a kick to remember our youth. (Typically, I'm lucky if I can remember yesterday!) I value my memories of high school and have always been grateful for an education. Rob and I have been married 36 years and it has been a sweet ride. We have 3 beautiful daughters who all live with their families nearby and are so grateful to be sharing grandparenting. I have had a long career as a social worker, working with teen pregnancy. He's been a lawyer----and turned out to be much brainier than I realized when we met. (I never sluffed a class 'till I met him!) Best wishes to each of you and may your dreams continue to come true! xoxo | |||
