I transferred to Skyline between my Sophomore and Junior year.  I attended Jordan my Sophomore year where I knew almost everyone, a school of nearly 900.  I played football my Sophomore year – all 5’6” and 120 pounds of me.  I never went out for football at Skyline, knowing I was way too small.  I really enjoyed watching the Skyline football games – especially my Senior year when they took STATE!  I thought those football players were “awesome”.

It was very hard for me academically at Skyline.  At Jordan, I did very little homework and got B’s and C’s.  At Skyline, I actually tried very hard.  Let’s just say I did graduate.

I had seminary as a Junior   My teacher was Brother Call.  He seemed to have things together, selling shoes at night, teaching seminary by day and he was newly married.  I believe he had a new little daughter.  As I look back I probably got more out of that class than most others.  In Brother Call’s class I had a secret crush on 2 girls, Sharon and Elaine.  I don’t remember much else except I thought the girls at Skyline were very attractive.

Although it was a painful experience going to Skyline my Junior year, not knowing many students, I was able to finally adapt and became more outgoing.  I enjoyed my senior year and hung out with Guy Thornberg.  Guy lived down the street from me.  During our Senior year, his folks moved to Oregon and so Guy moved in with my family.

I bought a ‘65 Chevy Super Sport working nights at Deseret Book downtown.  I enjoyed racing that round my senior year.

40 years is a long time but there are great memories I still enjoy.   I often wonder what happeded to Steve Lewis, Pete Black, Tom Kalagorie, and Tom Faust.  If you guys are alive, I’d love to hear from you.  I still live in Holladay.

Hello Fellow Eagles,
Darn! Double darn! I won't be able to make it to another reunion.  My oldest daughter is getting married a few days before the reunion and I can't manage participating in both events.

I've watched the videos of the last couple of reunions.  It looked like everyone had a great time.  Our class is a wonderful group of people.

I live in San Jose, California.  I've been happily married for 30 years to Mimi and have 2 wonderful daughters, Jennifer and Stefanie.  (I'm patiently waiting for a grandchild!)  After graduating from the U of U School of Social  Work in '73, I started with the Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children's Services as a child welfare social worker.  I currently work in administration.  I hope to retire this December and "re-invent" myself. (I don't know what I want to do when I grow up!)

I hope you're all well,  God willing, I'll see you for the 50th.

Take care,

Randy

Wow, we can't be that old!  Although the joints tell me otherwise.  I have two beautiful daughters and live only 5 miles away from where I grew up. Graduated from the UofU and am an HR Manager at a wonderful company.  Single and loving life, but still waiting for grandkids.  Of course the granddogs are wonderful but just not the same.

I am also astounded that forty years has flowed on by. I have many fond memories of skyline and have kept close to robin winburn and laura horiuchi who I meet for lunch once a year. I married a fine man and we are still rearing children in our old age. I have a private practice in marriage and family therapy. We live on 2 acres in highland, utah and spend our days on the soccer field or at violin recitals. We are grandparents to four who have recently moved to seattle and we ache for want of them in our day to day life. Yet, I have never been so content. Perhaps age is actually more than its cracked up to be. Hope to reunite with all those gentle friends I remember in gratitude.

Greetings!  I have one son who married a wonderful girl with two little boys whom he has raised and is living in Austin, Texas. I graduated from Westminster College of Nursing and have been working as an RN for 26 years. Have lived in Colorado and Northern California and am now back in SLC. The last reunion I attended was in 1978 and it was a blast. Thanks to all those putting this one together.

It's hard to believe 40 years have passed. I retired last year after 29 1/2 years as a Special Agent for the FBI. My career took us to San Diego for three years and Chicago for about 18 years.  We are back in the area now.  We are empty nesters with two daughters who have given us four grandchildren.  Life is good.  I'm looking forward to seeing all of the familiar faces whose names I can't place due to the cobwebs. We live in Layton. My wife, Carolyn, went to West High (don't hold it against her) and now works part time at United Airline.

Hard to believe that 40 years has sped by.  Thanks to all on the committee for putting this together.  I am still in Arizona.  My wife of 13 years and I have 8 kids between us, and 18 grandkids.  Life is good in the Gila Valley.  I try to help our community as Superior Court judge. I run for re-election in two years.  Look forward to the reunion in September

Can't wait to see everybody.  My wife MinNette and I live in Pueblo Colorado, and we are finally empty-nesters.  Between the two of us we have 11 kids and 16 grandkids.

"You are only as old as you feel" is my husbands favorite saying.  He is MUCH older than I am chronologically but he refuses to grow up.  Therefore, so do I.  I am looking forward to seeing EVERYONE again.  I feel terrible that we haven't been able to find everyone yet. Please help us.  We need addresses and emails.  Not just "I ran into so and so".  Everyone on the committee has been working so hard to make this a success for you.  I feel grateful to know such great classmates.  I plan on definitely being there to see everyone and to support all of those others that have been working so hard.  Please join us. I would love to hear from anyone and everyone.  As PETULA CLARK said: "Call Me, Don't Be Afraid to Just Call Me."  (801) 971-4037

I CANNOT believe it's been forty years!  Where has the time gone?  Maybe to raising my six children and they in turn raising their children (19)!!  Now, we're just down to one...Tag, the four legged kind.  See you in September.

I must be getting old to realize that I graduated 40 years ago.  I was the quiet one, no one knew me, and I slowly slipped down the dripping halls, didn't raise any ruckus, and just plain got an education at Skyline.  Never been to a reunion, but this time might be the first.  Live in Brigham City, thus close enough to come and see all you OLD people.

It will be great fun to connect with all of you again.  Will I recognize you?  Will you remember me?   I still live in Everett, WA where my husband builds custom homes and I teach gifted 5th grade.  My eight children are grown and all on to their own paths.   Forty years is a lot of water under the bridge!  I do get back to SLC several times a year to visit my dad, and I'll be there in September!

This sounds like fun.  What a great idea to have a hike in the canyon.  I haven't kept in touch with any of my high school friends.  It will be a treat to see everyone.  I'll bring the pep club history scrapbook that I found in the Skyline locker room trash several years ago.  What a coincidence!

I love these reunions!  So fun to re-connect and catch up with my great classmates.
I am back to work after being retired for 6 1/2 years.  I'm an Internet Banker.  My two kids are grown and flown away.  No grandchildren yet.
I live with my sweetheart of the past 4 years, and we enjoy traveling and the peace and quiet of our small "farm" in Erda when not working.
Can't wait to see you all in September.  The hike in Millcreek sounds like lots of fun!
Write to me if you have a minute.

Hi Ya'all!
I'm so looking forward to re-connecting with you and hearing all about your life's journey!  It has sure been a ride hasn't it?!!  I'm living up in Tetonia, ID which is in the Teton Valley (over the mountain from Jackson).  My husband, Buck, and I have enjoyed the peaceful life and slow pace that living in this mountain valley has brought us the last 12 years.  Can't wait to see you!

Hello everyone,
This year is my political year and maybe I will be at the National Convention for Republicans the week before reunion if I win my nomination. I was married the week after our 20th reunion and now I have two wonderful sons and a great Scottish husband Kalani who was born in Hawaii and is probably going to be working in England soon. So my time tables are shaky. We live here in Colorado Springs. Hope to see everyone in the fall.
